    The hallmark of a cracking set of photos: they make me want to set off right away. An excellent area and a superb tent pitch as well – why oh why aren’t the Highlands closer…

    Thanks Geoff, a bit of a drive from here on the east coast but still managable for a weekend so shouldn’t complain. As you say great area, been meaning to head back into Glen Affric for a while so really enjoyed my trip. Hope you manage to get north again soon!

    A fine round of some of the best hills north of the Great Glen. Wild camps high like that are rare and welcome. Photos as always are superb.

    Nothing better than waking up high in the hills with fine views to greet you at the start of the day Martin.
    Weather was good, but a little hazy for really clear photos.
